MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

Credit for products

For the basic membership fee, members will receive credit for supplemental currency that they may use to help buy products from the projects in the Transition business entity and participating companies after they go into production. Our current early stage project involves research to discover and evaluate concepts for Integrated Solar Generation and Energy Storage (ISGES) in a single device – a technology with revolutionary potential. Contributors to selected causes and those that get environmental education would get bonus credit. Qualifying members may apply for grants and loans of supplemental currency.

On the Horizon

Members will receive the bi-annual publication On the Horizon, with information about what is happening in the Transition Project, information about new and future technologies, environmental news and more.

Networking

We would like to have the capability to allow members to post professional information in an area of the website where project leaders may notice you and invite you to local topic and start-up conferences. At a conference, explore opportunities in technology research and development important for transition, and other opportunities for collaboration in groups important for transition.

Project Groups

Some members may join the exchange system project group and/or other groups, have membership fees waived and receive additional exchange media.

Proceeds from membership fees in the Transition PROJECT are to be used to help fund the ISGES research projects and other early stage research and development, recruit more projects and members, promote the Transition Project concepts to investors and grant funders who may support the projects, , and to help pay other operational and promotional costs. A percentage of basic membership proceeds may also go toward projects beyond the research stage, closer to production that will be featured on the website.
